Programme

Harpal Singh opened the scoring for Leeds after twenty-five minutes with the only goal of the first half, when he scored after being played in by Jamie McMaster. Prior to that Jamie McMaster, Nick Gray and Justin Bowler had all gone close for United, while at the other end Will Coyles had proved his worth with saves from Bett and Midwood. Leeds made wholesale changes at half-time with nine of the outfield players being replaced. Farsley drew level five minutes into the second half when Iqbal scored from twenty yards. Barry Corr who had come on as a substitute, soon equalized when he scored just four minutes later and extended the United lead with just three minutes to go when he picked up the scraps after Damian Reeves had hit the crossbar. He almost completed his hat-trick but his header was cleared off the line. Robert Constable, Kevin Cronin, Edward Keyes, Andy Keogh, Jamie Winter, Cousins, Damian Reeves, Barry Corr and one other were the substitutes. Kevin Cronin picked up an injury and was forced to come off after seventy-five minutes. Stuart Edwards replaced him.
